About Summit Solar

Mike is an experienced, qualified and registered electrician with extensive residential and industrial experience. He holds the PV Solar Systems Design and Installation and Mains Parallel Generation endorsements. He is also the kind of person who will go above and beyond for the people around him — whether that’s family, friends or customers.

A proud family man, Mike enjoys being outdoors with his grandchildren, watching his boys play rugby and keeping active himself. Alongside his wife Rose, he runs a successful electrical business and has spent decades building a reputation for quality workmanship and getting the job done right.

Now, Mike has teamed up with his sons to bring that experience into Summit Solar, combining generations of electrical knowledge with a fresh approach to solar.

Hayden brings more than 10 years of quantity surveying and construction experience across London, Wellington and the Wairarapa.

His career has spanned interiors, commercial construction and complex projects, giving him a strong understanding of how to plan, cost and manage work from start to finish. He brings excellent organisation, communication and time management skills to Summit Solar, along with a genuine focus on making sure things are done properly.

Based in the Wairarapa, Hayden is passionate about working on projects and seeing them through. Outside of work, you’ll usually find him playing rugby, working on the farm or getting out for a round of golf.

At Summit Solar, Hayden looks after quotes, customer enquiries and the project side of the business — making sure the process is clear and well organised from the first conversation through to completion.

Dan is an experienced, qualified and registered electrician with both residential and industrial experience. He brings a calm, methodical approach to everything he does and has a real eye for detail.

He’s the person who quietly gets into the nitty gritty — researching, checking the details and working things through before making a big call. That attention to detail is something we value hugely at Summit Solar, particularly when it comes to designing systems that need to work well for years to come.

Outside of work, Dan is a keen rugby player and has most recently shared the field with his brother Hayden. He also enjoys golf and spending time with friends.

At Summit Solar, Dan brings his electrical experience and practical problem-solving skills to the design and installation side of the business.
